I'm looking for a classic woman with an avid mind, sensuous, robust, and powerful, perhaps given to passions but is basically as even-keeled as I am. Sustained mutual intoxication, a life of desire within trust and good sense are as crucial to her as they are to me. She is a classic, even archetypal woman (I think I fit both descriptions as a man), but for that reason might call herself quirky, singular, especially because, like me, she doesn�t fit the current cult of �the relaxed life.� She would love to wander the town for hours lost in delirious conversation with me, not caring where we are going. And she loves the fact that I remember and dote upon what she said hours or months ago, and can keep several strands of a conversation going at once. She might enjoy my sly wit, and she can call me up at six in the morning and I can keep her laughing for an hour. Yet we can get lost in searching conversations as we pursue love to its shimmering core, and she loves classic letters that deepen that search, this long fall into each other.

She might really love to dance, enjoy clubs and cities, or be a reclusive intellect high in the Sierras. (Yes, I can hike to reach you, I trained for the Olympics in ice speedskating and my legs remain in excellent working order and the rest is in fine shape, perhaps intoxicating shape.) We might orbit each other, unable to get enough: she even likes the coziness of working in the same room as me, a I lean to my laptop, and we look up and smile into each other on occasion, or to lose ourselves in a kiss.

Most of all she wants a luminous life of desire, and yet we can make it work.

I am a professional poet (will happily share published and other work) and am resuming my corporate consulting practice. I'm in great physical shape. Education: B.A., English, Stanford University. Intense graduate study as an undergrad.
