A brainy buffoon I'm an abstract random ENTP. I am a big picture thinker. I enjoy mathematical, logical and word puzzles. I'm an avid scrabble player; a current losing streak has dropped my rating below 1500, which has been very frustrating. I have a nearly inexhaustible appetite for stimulating conversation. More than anything else, that is what I looking for in a relationship.

My avocational intellectual passions, broadly defined, include: comedy improvisation and stand up comedy, songwriting, piano, prose writing, and philosophy.

The intellectual passions that have been sources of income include: software design, standardized test preparation, standardized test item writing.

My former employer is a software company that provides a student information system for public schools. I am pursuing consulting contracts with client districts that will specifically and progressively track student mastery of the relevant state and national standards.

I live and think in metaphor. I've always found it particularly instructive to describe oneself. I am a dolphin: energetic, friendly and intelligent.

I suffer from Manic Depression, which has and continues to be a moderate obstacle and will be an issue that must be dealt with before any serious commitments are made. Unfortunately, I had a fairly serious manic episode this spring which cost me my job.

I have the good fortune to have sufficient financial resources to cover my expenses for up to a year. I also have a wide variety of skills that make a number of freelance opportunities available to me.
