Marian the Librarian seeks absent-minded professor Hi, I'm a librarian and nature lover who liked to spend time outdoors hiking, exploring or reading. I can be a bit quiet at first but can be the extrovert once I get to know you. I'm a proud pop science geek and enjoy reading about biology, physics, philosophy, and historical fiction. NOVA, Nova scienceNOW and the Colbert Report are some favorite shows.

Some favorite authors: Annie Dillard, James Michener, Gore Vidal, Jonathan Barnes, Daniel Quinn, Ed Abbey, Edward O. Wilson, Stephen Jay Gould, Rick Bass, John Muir and Mark Helprin.

I also like trying out new seafood and vegetarian recipes, listening to blues and folk music, drawing and travel. While I enjoy philosophical discussion I have an equally playful side and can be a bit goofy/dorky at times. It's part of my charm. I am often attracted to the absent-minded professor type.
