A professional artist and teacher, I have travelled and exhibited my work widely. I love telling and listening to stories; playing games with kids, grownups and animals; creating a comfortable and beautiful home; exercising regularly; eating well; exploring new natural and cultural worlds; staying connected to family, friends and Trader Joes all over the country. Interests: novels (from Austen, d---ens and Mary Shelley to Highsmith, Eugenides and Ishiguro); movies (anything Hitchcock, Wilder, Cukor; off-kilter comedies, mysteries and "small films"); music (very wide range); really good and really bad TV, theatre, crosswords, Scrabble, dogs, travel, walking, swimming, cooking.

I'm looking for an irreverent, insightful, compassionate, generous, confident man. Preferably someone who shares a love of peaceful surroundings with an urban sensibility. Good health, grooming and looks are a plus. Conversation skills a must.
