Hello! Hello,I'm John, 37 years old from Bolton, NW England. I'm a (probably) biromantic asexual, and a bit of a flirt once I get to know you. I'm liberal, atheist, empathic, gentle, loyal, slightly cynical, a complete wuss, kind, intelligent.

I'm looking for mature intelligent people to email, just to get to know a few more people and make some new friends (and who knows, maybe find someone I can be something a little bit more to, someday).

I like The Pixies, Blondie, 70's rock, pretty much anything to be honest, as long as it's not 'manufactured' music. Currently hot on the DB playlist is original 60's Jamaican ska, makes booty shaking a must.

Movie wise, I'm currently loving superhero and fantasy movies that have been released over the past 12 months, and my 10/10 movies include 'The Princess Bride', 'Life of Brian', 'Almost Famous' and 'True Romance'.

As for my reading habits, I'm kinda torn at the moment between PG Wodehouse, a book about WW2 history, Steven Pinker's 'The Stuff Of Thought' and the Daily Telegraph (not an indication of political leaning, just good quality and good crossword!).

I'm also a rockhound, i.e. I have a deep and profound interest in all things geological and geographical, to be honest, most science interests me, except, for some reason, astronomy - it just leaves me cold. I'm a happy bunny if I'm sat watching one of the BBC's amazing nature documentaries, but the best thing ever for me is getting out in the country and splitting chunks of rock open to (hopefully) find fossils.

I like sci-fi TV series, loved Star Trek: Voyager, and Jean Luc Picard is just The Man. I also enjoy QI, Pushing Daisies, Heroes, Big Bang Theory, Monty Python, all sorts of stuff.
