What you might ask is my description of love?: Love is the man who brings you breakfast in bed, who has the laundry half done by the time you are out of the shower/bath. Love is the that hand that reaches across to touch yours, thankful you are his/hers; with no bill or charge. Love is the consideration in the bedroom his lady; that laying of her head upon his chest and feeling/hearing his heart beating just for 'you'. His hand gently stroking her hair, wondering if she would like me to start peeling potatoes, scrubbing carrots, if she would allow me to tease her once more, my fingers gardening her lady lawn, smooch her soft, moist lips, suckle her breasts, to enter her again and bring her to another heightened release. Love is showing her what you are doing and why, fully explaining without demeaning, holding the cloth while she pins; washing dishes with her, drying, putting away and thoroughly enjoying a laborious chore just to have the chance to be in her company. Love is not mundane. Love is like a bush, it grows strong, tough, blooms now and then, rests a while as it recovers and sustains pruning as it grows older, but the passion of its early years, though hard, less supple, never wanes.
These day I have taken early retirement to write novels and write for magazines, a task I thoroughly enjoy.
