English major in college who has rediscovered literature in adult education courses here in Tucson. Enjoy discussing books, politics, music, the visual arts. Humor and wit play an important part in my life. Music too is very important to me, and my tastes are broad: Early, renaissance, classic, modern, from Notre Dame Organa to Shostakovich string quartets. I also enjoy bluegrass, jazz, and pop music of the 1920s.

Travel is also important to me, as it is to so many people. For me it's a continual discovery and sometimes a rediscovery. I remember with wonder the first time I saw Lake George in the Adirondacks back east, the Redwood forests of Northern California, San Francisco, the medieval looks of the narrow streets in Switzerland. I'd like to share some of my delight in these places with a companion.

I'm looking for someone who shares these interests and also enjoys French food and good wine and who prizes humor and wit. I would like her to be a loyal and caring person who has a young person's mind trapped in an older person's body (apologies to William Butler Yeats.) I'd like to share serious and silly times with her. If she has children that's a plus to me, because mine have enriched my life beyond measure. I would like us to click in a way that not many couples do. Perhaps that's not realistic, but I believe that this can happen at any age.
