Hi, I'm Steve, an ex-Londoner, living in the sunny West Midlands. Been up here almost 14 years now, looks like I'm staying.

Hmmm, what to say about myself?

Well, I love films. I have pretty diverse tastes, I'm more than happy catching the latest Hollywood blockbuster at the cinema, watching trashy horrors with my friends, or taking in something more 'worthy' or arty, even with subtitles. I don't watch much television, especially not soaps/reality TV, but I like a lot of comedy, and there's some programmes I try not to miss; you can ask me about all that..

I have a real passion for food too: Eating out, and cooking at home; I love improvising, and trying out new recipes, especially ones that remind me of countries I've visited, colourful, exotic dishes, that taste of summer..
Having said that, I make a great chicken casserole too!

I Have quite a few close friends that I like to spend time with, whether nights out, putting the world to rights over a quiet pint, or family days out at the park. I like to think I'm there for the bad times too, I'm someone they can always turn to for help and advice..

Music's very important to me too. I've always been into rock/alternative music, although my tastes are far less extreme than they used to be! More popular/recent artists I enjoy include Muse, Florence And The Machine, Frank Turner, Mumford And Sons...and after many years, I still love the Pixies and Nick Cave.

I'd say I'm not the centre of attention at the party, but I'm the interesting guy in the corner that you could talk with all night.
