I am a teacher. My primary field is Theater Arts, but at present I teach math and General Studies. I hold graduate degrees in Music, Philosophy, English Literature and Education. I have taught all subjects in The Humanities, my favorites being English and Russian Literature I am considered very attractive though somewhat aloof. I am looking for a gentleman who enjoys travel, conversation, Shakespeare, music from Bach to Shostakovitch, and lots of books. I am atheistic though I have worked directing church music programs all my life, and I love liturgical music. I like to read biographies and theoretic physics. I do not like sports or TV programs. I watch BBC productions on DVD occasionally, and I enjoy good films - without profanity, S-- and violence. I am pretty much a 19th Century Lady. I am looking for a similar gentleman to share retirement years when I decide to retire. Right now I am happily teaching and I dearly love to teach. I live in Puget Sound and enjoy traveling in the area, the mountains and the water. I also have a special place in my heart for the Bay Area, Portland and Vancouver BC. I'm not apposed to a long distance friendship, but time is a factor now, and I would like to find someone near-by to meet and spend time getting to know - and perhaps the special one with whom to form that special relationship that will take us into the "sunset" together.
I have grown children; some of them are in the area, but I see them not very often as they too are teachers and busy.
I was born and reared in The South. My degrees are from James Madison University, Pacific Lutheran University and The University of Washington. I hope this reaches someone who will find a kindred soul in the person I describe and contact me.
