Major geek looking for other major geek. Well, as my screen name & title show, I'm a major geek. LOL I have low vision, but I can see pretty well. I do have to use a magnifier to use the computer, though. I love technology, history, science, science fiction, anime, environmentally friendly and fuel efficient cars (such as hybrids, or the new diesels - i.e. from VW), and open source (not just technology, but open source thought as well). I enjoy having intellectually based discussions on many many things. Feel free to ask me literally anything you want. Nothing, and I do mean nothing, bothers me.

My favorite places to go are electronics stores. I'd go to the library if books were available in large enough print, but I am just fine receiving my books from the National Library Service for the Blind (NLS), and Bookshare.org. Anyone have any titles they'd like to recommend? Go for it. I enjoy Science Fiction & historical texts, as well as material based on present events (same goes for movies). I also like PopSci & MotorTrend.

I'm looking for another major geek who doesn't mind talking about...well...anything, and I do mean anything. The topics could be historical, current events, technology, media's impact on society (as a whole or specific societal views on topics), whatever. It could also bee whatever "rating" (G, PG, etc.), I don't care what the rating is. I'm open to all of it.

Physically speaking I don't care, though for some reason I think glasses are a major plus. I think it's because I have to wear them to see. I will say this though. Thick or thin, I don't mind, but I don't like people who are rail thin (i.e. those that are trying to look like super models). I prefer they have at least some thickness to them, even if their overall profile is thin. Other than that, I don't care.
