I'm fairly shy until I feel comfortable with people, but can project confidence, for example as a teacher. I'm drawn to words and ideas. I don't go out of my way to search for answers to big questions but neither do I ignore those questions when they arise. Full life, enjoyable life seems to be about more than just gratifying basic needs; it feels to me natural to use and extend the intelligence I have, however limited that might be. That, in itself, is a 'need' that I think I'll always have. So I enjoy talk, books and writing, music, other forms of art and creativity, being outside in beautiful and/or thought-provoking places. I also have a physical, practical side which takes in keeping fit, working on my house and generally doing the solid things necessary for getting by in life. And I respect kindness and compassion as well as intelligence and imagination - am attracted by those things in others. In a phrase, I suppose it's about active intelligence ...
