If I was at a party, I'd stand in a corner and *nalyze everyone else, that is, unless there was an intelligent fellow introvert next to me, who wanted to talk about *nalyzing other people, or do it together, or just critique society, or critique something, or something along those lines.

We are not our bodies or our mind, or our occupations, or anything external that is not us, per se.
TV, video games, movies, Internet, usually function to distract us away from our authentic selves. They are addictive processes. We forget who we are, and then chase happiness somewhere outside of ourselves. So I think it would be best to reject being bombarded with "entertainment" although that is difficult and not something I do well, but at least I recognize and reject the system. I keep on telling myself I should get into meditation.
Also, our educational systems are dysfunctional, and has little to do with real education except for a special class here and there, which most likely does not make up for the years and years we waste away in theses institutions (I say that having about 6 1/2 years of undergrad education and 3+ post graduate).

I have one year left of school, and then I'll be a naturopathic doctor. I am very much into natural health, eating organic, and all that stuff. Three years of naturopathic school has really been very draining, so I'm focusing more on myself now, than grades and things like that. As long as I get through the program and learn what I need to pass my board exams and be a good doctor, then I'll be happy. I don't need to be a perfect student also.
