Can you make me smile? So I get asked all the time "Why don't you ever smile?" to which I reply "Give me a reason to, better yet, give me a good reason to". Baggage is merely the memories of ones past, you cannot escape it. You can only try not to let it rule your life. I'm currently in the Army, formerly a Marine, I've been around the world, didn't really like what I saw. I don't have any children and I've never been married but it seems thats the only type of women I seem to attract, women with children or who have been married.
I'm not against the idea of getting into a relationship with a woman who has "a child" (not children), but she' would have to be something really special in my eyes. And I understand it when a woman says "My child is my world", to which I reply "Then there is no room in your world for me". Of course I'd never get into a relationship with a woman that didn't love her child, I'm just say choose your words more carefully.
I'm not against getting into a relationship with a woman who was once married, so long as there was a really good reason for the divorce, like cheating, something unforgivable. I do not accept irreconcilable differences as an excuse.
I've been in past relationships before, some for a number of years, we never fought once. Disagreed maybe, but never even so much as argued. I'm very easy to get along with and I can see where that is a problem for people who thrive on drama, and that seems to be a great deal of people. I am looking for something serious that will hopefully lead to marriage and a family of our own.
When I'm asked why I don't smile, I can only think of how lonely I am, that I have no one in this world I can talk to, that the closest person I call a friend is probably about 800 miles away, that I've been single for 4 years and no woman in that time has ever so much as smiled at me. I don't walk around with a frown eithe, I'm just pretty much expressionless. I can't even remember the last time I actually did something fun.
