I'm a complicated man with a simple outlook: life is beautiful. I used to say that I'm a simple man but I've been told that this is just not the case. I enjoy all kinds of experiences and try to keep my mind wide open. I'm an extroverted introvert in that I thrive on social interaction and relationships almost as much as I do on alone time and solitary introspection. My love of nature goes way back and I try to see as many sunsets as I can. I have a penchant for puns and an affinity for alliteration. I am one of the clumsiest people on the planet.

I look for the same things in others that I strive for in myself. Integrity, curiosity, empathy, a positive outlook tempered by a realistic perspective, a commitment to exploring, challenging, and enjoying the mind, a healthy rapport with the body, a generous and easy sense of humor, a habit of nurturing important relationships, and finally, a compassionate respect for other people, regardless of their station in life. I'm looking for someone who shares my values and interests, but not necessarily someone who duplicates my knowledge and opinions. I am more interested in having compelling conversations about our differences where a broader understanding is the reward. Lastly, I'm looking for someone I'm attracted to who is attracted to me, where we both lift each other up and make ourselves better people.
