To explain: I live in South Africa, in an area that is cold and damp in winter, but pleasant in summer. I would like to find a woman with whom I match well, and who has a house/apartment in the UK. Then every 6 months we move, never having to endure winter!

The most important attribute I am looking for in a relationship is intellectual compatibility. In this area I am a bit of a mixed bag. While I attended an academic private school ("public school" in the UK), my tertiary education was technical. However, I have not stopped reading all my life (mostly non-fiction in many areas), and I am a member of Mensa.

I live 30km inland from Durban, in a large house, situated next to a nature reserve, that I run as a BnB. I was a software developer, but I'm semi-retired now. I use alcohol only occasionally. I enjoy theatre, art, jigsaw puzzles, party games and cats.

I am verbally acute and articulate. Passionate and fiercely affectionate. I am besotted with most types of music, except Jazz and Rap/Hop. I love being in the outdoors. I am resourceful and practical, and enjoy doing most types of DIY.

I like being creative in a number of ways, one of which is writing doggerel and limericks. Hence:
