As I got older I think I lost the balance. Too much studying or at least worrying about it didn't seem so good for the health. I still think I'm more fit then most people my age but I'm not where I would like to be.
After two undergraduate degrees (physics, electrical engineering) and most of a master degree in electrical engineering I eventually got tiered of school. I Realized I couldn't remember everything I learned and couldn't really afford school either.
I think one thing I really found discouraging is the lack of people that understood what I was studying or were interested in the subject matter.
I am hopping to meet people who have an interest in academics. I find economics, politics and math and philosophy particularly interesting. I like physics but don't think too much about the more advanced stuff because I don't want to be overly speculative. I would find social science interesting from a mathematical perspective particularly since I learned a lot about probability theory in school. Anyway, if my profile sounds interesting send me an email. It would be a pleasure to meet you.
