An Affirming Flame I am an attorney with wide-ranging interests. Each day of my life is devoted, in some measure, to improving my mind, body or spirit. I believe in a healthy balance between intellectual and physical pursuits; I am equally comfortable reading poetry or playing football. I work out or run every day. My musical tastes run from garage rock n roll to classical to Maria Callas. In art, I'm partial to American Realism, though I can appreciate other forms. I believe there are few problems between friends and lovers that cannot be resolved if the parties possess the ability to laugh at themselves. My philosophy of life can be summed up by this piece of ancient Sanskrit wisdom:There are three things which are real:God, human folly and laughter. The first two are beyond our comprehension, So we must do what we can with the third.I am looking for a woman who shares some of my interests, knows many things I do not, would like to laugh with me at whatever instances of human folly cross our path, and has a tolerance for far too many, albeit well organized, books. I love my life of kids and books and art and music. If you enjoy some of these things, and you have no serious felony convictions, I would love to hear from you. Actually, I'm probably being unreasonably snotty about the whole felony conviction thing; if you read some good books while you were incarcerated and your conviction wasn't for killing your husband, by all means send me an e-mail.
