Thinkers DO have senses of humor. Shy and quiet is the antithesis of the normal me: I am a classical mezzo-soprano with a witty and sometimes grisly sense of humor and am unafraid to show it. However, when it comes to dating I tend to clam up initially; I have described myself as socially -------- around guys, but if you take the time to get to know me, I do indeed open up. I love conversation on many subjects, especially politics, art, philosophy, and theology.

My professional job is in the biosciences and I eventually plan to work in the health professions. I love charity work and work with ill children on a regular basis.

I am of average/curvy body type. I recently lost a good deal of weight and plan to lose more in the summer once I have kept off what I've already lost for a while. I bike regularly (yes, even in winter with studded snow tires), walk everywhere, and only use public transportation when it is below -15 F.

For fun I sing classical music as a soloist and choir member, read avidly, watch foreign/independent films, catch folk and indie live music, and hope eventually to pick up guitar. I am involved in the Episcopal church and I expect that my faith be respected. As for dating, I'm happy to meet men for friendship and casual dating with the possibility of cultivating a more serious relationship.
