Anyone up for a healthy discussion on bio-ethics? Here I am all shiny and new to online dating and the city. I moved to Philly a year ago and since then I've spent a little time in bars/clubs or out and about meeting new people. But I haven't found the right scene for me yet. In fact, if anyone knows a laid-back lounge/ poetry bar/ blues-jazz club, please show me. In the mean time I've been committing a lot time to exploring the city, volunteering, fishing in the Schuylkill (no, I never eat my catch...), cooking for a few friends every now and then, and just enjoying the low pressure limbo that is post-25 and pre-30. Lately, I have been really interested in learning to fly small aircraft (crop-dusters). I went up once over the summer and the experience blew me away. I also plan to take stain glass art classes in the Spring. As of August, I have been going to the gym 5 days/week. So basically, I'm working on self improvement on all fronts: technical, artistic, and physical. I'm made up of many contradictions that tend to keep people guessing about me. But I would have to say my most interesting contradiction is that I'm a true Southern Girl (GRITS, if you will), with very modern values. Think Aunt Bee meets Nikki Manaj.
I am secure & happy with myself, but...Life is meant for 2, right? I'm looking for a guy who is comfortable in his own skin and knows what he wants. I tend to be a shark in my professional life but submissive in my relationships, so my guy's confidence and dominance is very important to me. I'm most attracted to nerdy guys who can teach me something and are passionate about life. Please have a good sense of humor and a versatile range of interests. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want a relationship, I do. But I'm not about to just jump into one. I'm much more interested in meeting someone for a fun date and seeing where that takes us. So, what is it going to take for me to get to know you?
