I'm here because I have so far been frustrated trying to find someone compatible by conventional means. I am somewhat of an enigma to many and my viewpoints in general don't resonate much with the pedestrian crowd. So I hope to find someone who might have similarly individual ideas that might serve as a focal point.

Many seem to have the idea that labels make this effort easier. Funny, smart, honest, athletic...all these labels are notions relative to the beholder. So rather than preconceive my criteria for a good "match", I prefer to say that I look forward to meeting everybody; if a particular attraction arises, I will respond. In this way I am always fluid, open to possibility, ready for the unexpected. It doesn't mean I don't have preferences or standards, just that I prefer to apply them artistically. The resulting flavor tends to be unique-I like that idea.

For others it may be helpful to have some idea of who I am. I work from home as a consultant in educational assessment. I live with my 19 year-old daughter in the woods south of Seguin, TX. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and humble way of life. I am quite versatile and adapt easily to most situations. Some of my hobbies are painting, writing poetry and prose, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and watching sports. I disdain hype, glamor, politics, vanity, and dishonesty. A true life is lived to appreciate the beauty and meaning in the rainbow, not to chase willy-nilly after the gold in the pot at the end of it. Making friends with the leprechaun is infinitely more fun than trying to outwit him.

When it comes to close relationships I am not a compromising dabbler. I do not tarry amongst the roadside daisies and ornamental roses-although these have their beauty. My life's passion is to discover the rare mountain orchid. When I find her, the mountains will move to make a perfect vale where we will grow side by side through the seasons, under the sun and stars, until the snow of winter takes us both.
