heh. I don't think I've ever been the first to post on a forum before.

Since there is no Philosophy section, it's going in the Humanities. I posted this question on philosophyforum.com before and did not get anything helpful in response, and I think that likelyhood even less here, but I figure, what the hell.

How does Aristotle's multiple notions of causality relate to his actual/potential? My reading of Aristotle's actual/potential make it a far more powerful metaphysical picture of reality than his causality so I've never been quite able to figure why he feels he needs his view of causality.

Maybe he is posing the ultimate question: How do we know anything. How do we know the layer of reality we are seeing is completely different to what the objects actually are in other realities.

If we are the creators of our reality, that would be pretty awesome. Each of us might be the reason why the universe exists, and not the opposite.
