I have only seen discussions from Oct. 2006. (except Moon Base Alpha) How do web-sites go about drumming up traffic?
I'm just asking.

The biggest, free, most successful dating site, plentyoffish dot com took several years before it actually started to get big.
Ironically enough, it was on its forums that I learned of this site in the first place.
The thing is that free sites (like this one) need word-of-mouth to grow. Personally, I like the idea that this site proposes, so I'll tell anyone to give this site some faith if online dating is their intention.
I won't expect much from this, but as I've learned: you can only get out of something what you put into it.

`I have to say Rofigo you've really started the ball rolling in a great deal of the forums. I joined...sheesh...quite awhile ago and the activity here is just NOW starting to pick up. Thanks!

`lol theinquisitor. Try following the advice on the front page of the site. If you post in forums of other sites (and I'm sure that people who consider themselves "intellectuals" often do), if the post offers you to link to a site in the part where you put author (of your post) info, link to your profile on this site. It's what I've decided to do.
Otherwise, chill. The best thing for a site like this is for its members just to relax and let things happen over time.

`I'm "brand new" at this - just browsing around.
Suggestions for your technical category:
Computing
Communications
Robotics
Auto chassis & engine
Also, as a point of distinction, one common way to separate tech from engineering is calculus. Without calculus it's tech, with calculus it's engineering.
Science is the pure intellecutal exercise. Science + hardware= engineering or tech.
Just a couple thoughts. My first post - probably broke a rule or at least a couple conventions!
